From September 10–12, 2024, the European Digital Diplomacy Exchange (EDDE) conducted tailored training for Bulgarian government communicators at the Sense Hotel Sofia. This program brought together 11 participants to strengthen their skills in strategic communication and countering disinformation, addressing Bulgaria’s pressing challenges in the digital era.

The training offered a mix of expert-led lectures, practical workshops, and discussions, focusing on areas such as storytelling, social media strategy, audience engagement, and combating harmful narratives. Participants learned how to create compelling digital content, use modern communication tools effectively, and build trust with citizens.

This initiative also encouraged collaboration among government agencies, international partners, and communication experts, fostering long-term partnerships and a shared commitment to strengthening democratic resilience in Bulgaria.

The EDDE training is part of a broader effort to support European governments in adapting to the rapidly evolving information landscape, promoting transparency, and empowering communicators to address disinformation effectively.
