Bled was the place of our latest training course, taking place from 10 – 13 May 2022. In the picturesque environment, 35 participants from 16 countries were able to enhance their digital communication skills.
The digital press and public diplomacy capacities of government communicators were boosted by the careful selection of the top-notch trainers and practitioners of digital diplomacy, coming from the US, Italy, Estonia, Georgia, Canada, Slovenia, Serbia and Lithuania. After three days of various lectures and sessions, participants were able to use their newly gained knowledge in practice on the fourth day, when the simulation was on the schedule. Their products were presented to and got the feedback from the panel of experts.
The training was not only designed to enhance participants’ digital communication skills, but also to provide a stage for networking, exchange of good practices, and creating long-lasting friendships. We believe that all three goals were fulfilled and that a new generation of EDDE digital diplomats will make the world a little better and safer place.
A long-awaited guide for digital diplomacy practitioners – Be a Digital Diplomat – was also launched at the training and will be available to the general public shortly.
The training was organized by the Centre for European Perspective together with the U.S. Department of State.
